تفوّق النجم الكبير عادل أمام بفيلمه "مرجان أحمد مرجان" على كل الأفلام المنافسة هذا الصيف، محققاً على نسبة إيرادات إلى الآن. وفقاً لآخر أرقام الإيرادات فإن فيلم "مرجان أحمد مرجان" باع أكثر من مليون تذكرة خلال الأسبوعين الأولين من عرضه، متفوّقاً بذلك على جميع الأفلام المتواجدة بدور العرض في مصر، بما في ذلك "كركر" لأحمد سعد الذي باع 400 ألف تذكرة، و "عندليب الدقي" لمحمد هنيدي الذي باع 13 ألف تذكرة فقط. "مرجان أحمد مرجان" يعتبر واحداً من أكثر الأفلام تكلفةً في تاريخ السينما المصرية، إذ بلغت ميزانيته الإنتاجية 27 مليون جنية مصري، و هو من إنتاج شركة "جود نيوز".
